Bee Pay: Compliant Escrow & Payment Servicing
Bee Pay provides escrow and payment servicing for businesses that cannot legally charge a fee until the work is done — and a sister product of GoACH under Unity FI Solutions. GoACH debits when the money is already yours; Bee Pay holds it in trust until it is.
What is Bee Pay?
Bee Pay is an escrow and payment servicing provider for performance-based consumer services. It drafts a consumer’s payment on an agreed schedule, holds the funds in a trust account the service provider does not own or control, and disburses the fee once the work is complete — with full reporting and a documented fund flow.
Bee Pay is the new name for Payment Automation Network, and is operated by Unity FI Solutions LLC of Charlotte, NC — the same company behind GoACH. Visit GoBeePay.com to see the platform or request pricing.
How Bee Pay and GoACH work together
GoACH and Bee Pay solve the same operational problem — moving money out of a consumer’s bank account on a schedule — under two different legal conditions. The dividing line is simple: has the money been earned at the moment you debit it?
- Process with GoACH — when the product is delivered, the funds are advanced or the policy is in force. MCA, collections, insurance premium finance, subscription billing.
- Hold with Bee Pay — when federal rules bar you from collecting a fee until the outcome is achieved. Debt settlement, debt validation, credit repair, student loan document preparation, tax resolution, timeshare cancellation.
- One Unity FI stack — operators running both a servicing arm and a performance-based arm use each where it applies.
The rules behind it
This is not a preference — it is a compliance requirement, and a standard merchant account does not satisfy it however compliant the processor is. The issue is not how the money moves. It is who holds it, and when it becomes yours.
- FTC Telemarketing Sales Rule, 16 CFR 310.4(a)(5) — debt relief providers may not collect a fee until a debt has been renegotiated or settled, the customer has agreed to the terms, and at least one payment has been made to the creditor. Funds must sit in a dedicated account the provider does not own or control.
- Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA) — credit repair companies may not charge for services until they have been fully performed.
- Department of Education rules and state statutes — student loan document preparation and restructuring firms face equivalent advance-fee restrictions.
